Not having seen that one, the general answer is that the clothes are made so they are entirely open and they are hung or held so a person can walk right into them (like a dress or suit jacket cut up the back. With overlapping flaps and not turning completely around, the opening is disguised/hidden. And with the opening, the clothes can be pulled off.
There are commonly layers of clothing which are made of thinner fabrics than you would expect so that instead of putting something on, pulling away the layer showing reveals something different.
Coats may have blouse or shirt collars sewn to them so there is no separate shirt, same with cuffs of long sleeves.
