ok so i got into guitar at a church retreat yesterday. my friends were playing it and i asked if they could teach me a couple intros to songs and stuff. then i really got into it and now i think guitar will probably become my new hobby. what i mean by that is that when i get into something, i realllly get into it. like, tennis and drawing and stuff. im still into them, its just that i progressively add more and more hobbies. so im planning ot have this guitar for a while.

so what i want to know is, what ACOUSTIC guitar do you recommend that can appeal to both beginners and intermediates? idk, i guess id like to learn to play church songs and pop culture songs you know? any input is appreciated. thanks in advance

Does anyone have any positive or incouraging words of advice. Is it considered to be really hard to learn or not too bad if you practice alot.

I was wondering how much better is the Plus Top is compared to the B-Stock.

The Plus Top is a lot more expencive, but is it worth it? or should I just go with the B-Stock?

So what do you think???

I have been playing my brothers electric guitar for about a year now, but I really want an acoustic guitar because I like "acousticifying" my favorite rock songs. I have no idea how to buy an acoustic guitar, what some good brands are, or even if I should get a acoustic or an acoustic/electric guitar! The highest price my parents are willing to pay is probably around $300. I am probably going to get a used one because you can get a lot nicer used guitar for $300 than you can get a new one.

So any help with buying an acoustic guitar will be appreciated!

Hey guys and girls whats up? I'm a newbie on the guitar and Im loving it, I picked it up and just been teaching myself so I have a quick question about picks. Is it just a preference of what pick you use or do some picks go with different types of songs? Like Heavy, Light, Medium, thumb pick? Thanks

Ahoy answerers,

I'm looking to buy a clarinet. I'm not sure I would consider myself a beginner (I played trombone for four years before switching to alto saxophone for another three), so I'm not looking for the cheapest clarinet of the spectrum. However, I'm not planning on performing in any symphonies with it. Tone is probably my greatest concern. I'd prefer wood. Any suggestions?

I'm doing this exercise where I record a note and then I try to sing the major 3rd. I record a bunch of random notes then try to sing the maj 3rd. My question is: What interval should I work on next? Should I work on the minor third? I know the maj 3rd is important in harmony, but I am still new to that kind of stuff.
Thanks.

I'm just starting guitar and I want to get the Ibanez RG1570 guitar. Pros and cons? Suggestions? Also, what amp (preferably a combo), cables, pedal, etc. should I get?
I'd like to play hardcore stuff like Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, etc.
Can you also say how long you've been playing, what stuff you play, which guitar, etc.
Thanks!

Hey all, so I am a huge fan of Johnny Cash, and I would really like to learn guitar and play the old country music, like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings etc., I have a couple questions, obviously one is is learning to play hard? my dad plays guitar and he's offered to give me lessons but whenever i get a "lesson" its just learning the E chord. is there any way besides a teacher (other then my dad i mean) i could learn? I don't like learning things on the internet to let you know, another thing is what is a good old fashion guitar? Thanks all
