I have been playing my brothers electric guitar for about a year now, but I really want an acoustic guitar because I like "acousticifying" my favorite rock songs. I have no idea how to buy an acoustic guitar, what some good brands are, or even if I should get a acoustic or an acoustic/electric guitar! The highest price my parents are willing to pay is probably around $300. I am probably going to get a used one because you can get a lot nicer used guitar for $300 than you can get a new one.

So any help with buying an acoustic guitar will be appreciated!

dont get a used one unless you are sure u wont get ripped off... be sure to look for worn frets and a warped neck etc if u do buy used....and be wary of pawn shops that will grossly overcharge u

but for 300 u can get a nice new yamaha or epiphone from guitarcenter (acoustic or acoustic/electric)...spend another 15 bucks on some elixir polyweb strings and your guitar will sound great

I'm going to move with without doubt no longer. That is the fallacious purpose to get an acoustic. I am instantly acoustic myself, however that's in view that I am in love with the sound of it and it's my choice. I like electrical guitars satisfactory, however zero curiosity in gambling one. Professional comfortably way paid. You are paid to do some thing. I believe you imply knowledgeable, and you'll be able to emerge as knowledgeable in electrical guitar or acoustic... each even. Hell, banjo and mandolin for that topic. But the one justification for finding out any of those matters are curiosity and ardour. If you're no longer interested in it, do not waste your cash on a lovely device so as to end up a grime accumulating decoration. Good acoustic guitars aren't low priced. Get a few quite sizzling pickups alternatively in case your force and ardour is electrical.

I use Ovation electro-acoustics for performing, but I don't know what they cost in the States. The Ovation Applause budget range are good. Otherwise, my wife uses a Tanglewood, and that is good too. Other friends use Takamine. Hope this helps.
