how to play keytar?

Is it hard to learn how to play the keytar. How do you? Is the keytar the same format as a standard keyboard?, and basically if i knew how to play keyboard could i play keytar? How can i learn?

Yes its the same as a standard keyboard or piano, except you aren't playing with your left hand. You CAN, but its uncomfortable and there really aren't enough keys. You left hand can control some special effects, most of which you probably wont use much. Keep in mind the "keytar" ( hate that name for it,sounds so hillbilly) is a slave. Meaning you must have either another keyboard to midi into or a sound module to make it work. They are fun for a speical visual effect, and give you some freedom on stage.
