ok so i got into guitar at a church retreat yesterday. my friends were playing it and i asked if they could teach me a couple intros to songs and stuff. then i really got into it and now i think guitar will probably become my new hobby. what i mean by that is that when i get into something, i realllly get into it. like, tennis and drawing and stuff. im still into them, its just that i progressively add more and more hobbies. so im planning ot have this guitar for a while.

so what i want to know is, what ACOUSTIC guitar do you recommend that can appeal to both beginners and intermediates? idk, i guess id like to learn to play church songs and pop culture songs you know? any input is appreciated. thanks in advance

I use Ovation electro-acoustic for performing and playing in church. Their Applause is a good cheaper version. Alternatively, try Takamine, Tanglewood.or even Vintage.
Hope this helps

I bought a Taylor "Big baby" and love it. Great guitar for a good price. Fingers like an electric but sounds beautiful.

All of the brand names mentioned here are good. I would add Seagull---made in Canada, all hardwoods (they have their own forests) and very nice for the price! Checkout their website.
