I'm just starting guitar and I want to get the Ibanez RG1570 guitar. Pros and cons? Suggestions? Also, what amp (preferably a combo), cables, pedal, etc. should I get?
I'd like to play hardcore stuff like Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, etc.
Can you also say how long you've been playing, what stuff you play, which guitar, etc.
Thanks!

The Ibanez RG1570 is a fine guitar, but if you want to mask what guitar expertise you might build by relying on foot pedals giving distorted sound, echo, and chorus, then you'd be fooling no one but yourself. I strongly recommend learning on an acoustic guitar because chords, rhythm, and music theory play a most important part in learning the guitar.

I've been playing since 1956, except for time when I was heading overseas or in the bush dressed as a tree (U.S. Army). During my professional years I primarily used my Chet Atkins Nashville Gretsch, the 6120 model and a J45/50 Gibson acoustic with an archaic Woodson amplifier that continues to this day.

I much prefer playing my HD-35 Martin any day of the week and use that and my first guitar, an LG-3 Gibson, when I teach.

Friend, I believe that starting out with an electric guitar with all the foot pedals and distortion devices is a mistake on your part. Learn the basics on an acoustic first, and after a few years you could consider getting your electric guitar and all the gizmos that go with it.

well i have a fender showmaster, squier, breedlove acoustic, some cheap classical ghuitar and some no name acoustic. i play country and rock. an di have the boss ds-1 pedal and the jimi hendrix pedal i been playign 5 years. ibanez r great guitars. its a great guitar but the floyd rose part might be a difficult to get used to caus eu have to do alot to change st rings and u just can't change the tuning very easy it have to loose the locking nuts firts then tune and stuff. but them locking nuts will le tu mess with the floyd rose and the guitar should still be in tune.
