with the new year coming, many people will be using the flash on their digital cameras, and some will have over exposed faces from the bright flash and close proximity of the flash. What are some ways to prevent this. Thanks.

From the Egyptian empire, to the Greek, to the Roman Empire, to the French Empire, to the British Empire. . All of these well-known long empires has stayed for about centuries to milleniums, but why haven't they lasted forever? These individual empires in their time period was the most superior and advance power in the world, but somehow their power soon declined. What is because of laziness, foreign immigration, lack of compensation, internal turmoil, or is all of these choices?

I read about it, once. Two credit cards bills got mixed by mistake, and people paid them, without actually checking them! Can my huge visa card bill be sent to some dotty old woman in Cornwall, and I will receive hers, which will be 39 p for two cans of cat's food, which I will pay without questioning. Fair is fair, after all. Can it really happen?

Which principle of law do you think has been Rome’s greatest contribution to modern legal systems?

THINK ABOUT
- equality before the law
- innocent until proven guilty
- unfair laws could be set aside

Some of the most important principles of Roman law were:
- All persons had the right to equal treatment under the law.
- A person was considered innocent until proven guilty.
- The burden of proof rested with the accuser rather than the accused.
- A person should be punished only for actions, not thoughts.
- Any law that seemed unreasonable or grossly unfair could be set aside.

I've tried looking for answer in my textbook and the internet. Please help! Thanks! :]

I've just started to collect photographs and I am trying to stay with well known artists. This image is by a known artist but it is not very strong.

Does the price seem low? (Of course, the auction isn't over)

As memories crept up on her, tears came trickling down her cheeks. They formed a pool in the hollows of her eyes before splashing onto the photograph below. The photograph was of her and her beloved ex-boyfriend, who left her at the height of their relationship for a reason she did not know.

With the last tear slowly seeping down, she whispered to herself, “I can’t do this anymore.” The sorrow girl now realized what she hadn't known before; he had been utterly deceitful with her, saying she was beautiful; the best thing that could have ever happened to him; that she was the only person he wanted to be with the rest of his life. And she fell for those convincing lies.

I would like to protect my pics taken on my camera. Is a watermark the same as a copywrite? Got some great ideas for pics that I would like to offer to sell. Other similar ques reviewed in "Answers" didn't quite leave me with confidence that the watermark cannot be removed by using some "program"? And what about using photoshop to simply overwrite or erase the watermark. Has anyone out there sold pics and know what I'm talking about. Any help would be great!!! Have a SAFE New Year!!!

Walking

Every year, bout
This time of day,
On New Year's
Eve....

He'd make his
Slow way round
The park, rain, or
Snow...

Each year I watched,
Steps gettin slower,
More careful, breaks
For breaths...

One day, I went out
To him, smiled,
Said, 'Why do you
Walk nine

Times around this
Park, every New Year's
Eve? Can I help you
With something? '

'Little lady, I was born
In aught 9, so every
Year, nine times. Only
Got one walk left.'

And, you know what I
Know. When the old
Get a notion in their
Head....

Seems like walking
Kept him walking...
Nine times round
That park...

Im trying to find the type of music listened to in France around the turn of the century - before WWI and before the roaring twenties. Basically music from the Belle Epoque era. Would anyone be able to guide me to some artists I can look up? The closest thing I can research so far is french "salon" music. But have yet to be able to find any artists from that genre to listen to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It really p*sses me off. We do a lot more than other sports, and it's not as easy as it looks. When I first joined this year, I thought, how hard could it be. It's difficult as hell and to learn the drills and music and to do them at the same time WHILE hitting your spots is not like taking a walk in the park.

I've heard that it's not a sport because it does not require a physical form. So? Bands are so put down and rejected but most times, the best activity in school. We are constantly active and have more practices than our sucky football team.

Grrrr. How do you feel about marching bands. Serious answers only.
