Please advise thumb placement when playing guitar.

What point on your thumb do you put on the guitar neck.

do you rest the fatty part of your thumb in center of neck?

Or do you have a slight bend in small nuckel.

There is practically no info on this on the web.

My daddy used to take me on the donkey
Way out two three days in the desert
He would leave me there alone
To make me into a man
I was nine or ten

Until the time came when I could keep alive
In Mexico 24 hours a day 7 days a week
For a month without food or sleep
Or I could clean an I.S. machine
Better than Jerry

What are you going to do?

okay, well im 17 and going to major in script-writing (creative writing) and minoring in English.

anyway, for my application (im applying for an early major), i need to send in a standard script that i wrote (they said anywhere from 20-40 pages and they'll read as far as they feel is necessary).

i have a TV -like script that i wrote. It's not all the way done but the first "episode" is about 40 pages and (like some pilot episodes) is totally dry. its not its fault, just pilot episodes are somewhat dry since your trying to squeeze out these characters out of no where.

i have episode 2 which is a lot more exciting, but would that throw them off because its sort of like "so all this crap happened before that you havent heard of..." etc etc.

help please!

There are four clues about a certain musical. Can you guess, based of these clues what the musical is?

#1. The show is based on a piece of literature.
#2. Even after an adventure, it's always nice to be home.
#3. Our family is, well, different - with lots of children.
#4. Being out of the ordinary is one of my favorite things about me.

Bands at college football games all play this classical piece. I know I've heard it, but I can't remember what it is. For some reason, I'm thinking it might be by Walter Piston, but it's just a guess. You have to know something about music to be able to get it from this description:

The meter is either in 5 (5/4 or maybe 5/8) or it may alternate between one bar of 3/4 and one bar of 2/4.

The piece is very rhythmic, and is in a minor key. The tonic scale degree (la) is played in unison (octaves) in a regularly repeating rhythmic ostinato. Assuming that the meter alternates between 3/4 and 2/4, this rhythmic pattern is played as follows:

| tri-pa-let 2 3 | 1 and 2 | tri-pa-let 2 3 | 1 and 2 |

There is an underlying bass melody in which each note of the melody is sounded on beat one of each measure and held until beat one of the next measure. the melody is as follows (assume la is the tonic):

|(3/4) la |(2/4) mi | (3/4) ri |(2/4) te |(3/4) la |

What is it?

After Alexander died the Macedonian territory was split up, if it had never been split up do you think Rome would have conquered Greece years later? I am not a history buff, so if I am mistaken be gentle. What do you think?
