I've currently been working on this story idea of mine, what i typed so far on the computer is 5,189 words long (i love word count). Just for curiosity's sake, about how many pages in a standard novel will that be?

The publishing industry works with word count always. The standard formula is 250 words per page in a completed printed book. However some authors like James Patterson use a larger print to make the books seem longer.

The 250 words per page answer is right on the mark to the best of my knowledge. I think that you should be finished with about one long chapter given that the average novel is 90,000 words. Keep the momentum going!

Roughly 10 sides of A4 paper (with 12 point font)
If typed in Word with 12pt Times New Roman font, 5000 words will be about 6 full pages, and a couple lines on the 7th page (if single-spaced). If double-spaced, it will be about 12 pages, and a couples lines on the 13th page.

20 and 3/4 pages. I think there are about 250 words/page.
