I've just started to collect photographs and I am trying to stay with well known artists. This image is by a known artist but it is not very strong.

Does the price seem low? (Of course, the auction isn't over)

Thanks fhotoace!

Yes, that is why I like to have the print on the wall. Computer monitor does not do it justice.

The detail and tonal range of a master crafted gelatin print is gorgeous! Kids today with their digicams, online albums and computers really do not know what a photograph looks like.

Edward is awesome. But I am on a budget. I am trying to keep the cost of each print I collect under $1000. It is tough.

I think that's a gorgeous photo, personally! Very strong IMO.

As FotoAce said, you'll love Weston prints. Very high detail - great stuff.

I agree with Perki88. Edward Weston was a great photographer, one of my favorites, so his son must be ranking up there as well. This might just be me, but $800 would buy a nice Nikkor; A used 85mm f1.4, thank you very much. But of course if you are into collecting professional prints, then go for it. The seller has 100% aapproval rating, so this is a big plus. Hope you win.

Why no, 839.00 isn't low for a photo at all!
