Yes the Harry Potter books are good but I think J.K. is a little to wordy. But the least the directors could do is pay attention to the words and try to model the movies after it.

Absolutely! I was sorry that the movie-makers had to trim the books down to film them, but they still preserved the essential stories. The characters look just the way I imagined them, and I was delighted that so many big-name stars were willing to play relatively minor parts. I just hope that the same actors stick with it for the remaining movies in the series! And of course I was also delighted with the ending. (Years ago, when I finished another series that kept the reader in suspense as to whether the hero would die at the end, I actually wrote to the author and thanked her for the happy ending. Maybe many people have done the same for J. K. Rowling.)
BTW, speaking of the actors, is everyone aware that before Daniel Radcliffe was Harry, he played the young David Copperfield (without glasses) and Maggie Smith played Aunt Betsey? It's on DVD!
