There was one Sigismund who presided at the Convocation of Warsaw in 1573. There was Sigismund the Old, born in 1467. There was John Sigismund, 1540-1571. Maybe others too.

One King Sigismund introduced freedom of religion, a totally new concept. You were free to choose your own faith instead of being obliged to adopt the king's faith.

Who was that Sigismund? When and where did that advance in human freedom take place? What motivated him?
