How can some people believe that the greeks and the turks have the same ancestors?

Ok 400 years of slavery by ottomans but this doesn't mean that
they f.... up the whole country one by one so we can say that we are the same.This is insane.Am i wrong?

why has august got 31 days -is it because Augustus wanted the same number of days as Julius Caesar in July?

julius caesar had july with 31 days. is this the reason why augustus did the same with august not to be outdone?
