Is there any research going on on identifying one person's race of origin by analyzing his/her face characteristics? One might inherit facial traits of many nations/races through the marriage of his/her ancestors, it there any effort trying to isolate these facial traits (and bodily traits, too) and trace them back to the nations/races in the past?

I was looking on ancestry.com reading about writing letters to relatives to ask for information, filling them in on general interest news before you start asking questions, etc. I also just got married a year ago and I was introduced to the idea of Christmas letters. (His family does them, mine never has.)

What I was thinking about was writing a brief Christmas letter with like a top-ten list of our year. Being the first one my husband and I have written, I don't want it to be long or tedious. What do you think would be a good way to request genealogical information in the process?

I'm going to do something like "3. Moved to new apartment in ____. 2. Got a new job at __________." "1. We celebrated our one-year anniversary." Should I include a small family tree? Maybe a different one for the branch each recipient is in? I want to know birth dates and childrens/parents names. Maybe a large chart with blanks to fill in and a SASE?

Anyone have ideas?

I am really struggling to get back further than 1837 with my family tree as this is when the Births, Deaths and Marriages registers stop. I really want to get further back and have tried the international Genealogy Index, with little sucess. Can anyone suggest anywhere else I can try?

Fawiel Fintushal is listed as having come to the US via Ellis Island (1913) to brother W. Fintushal residing in 991 Freeman Alley NY. The youngest brother, possibly Zaval F. Fintushal, never emigrated because of the Russian Revolution and WW. Town of origin in Russian Empire was Belinichi, Mogilev Oblast. Any info and hints appreciated.

I'm Welsh Irish with a little French. No one in the United States seems to understand that I'm proud not to be Anglaise. I'm very appreciative of the English (the Beatles alone score one hundred points) but would like to have Americanos see that there is a difference.
Please be succinct and sincere in your answer.
