I need to know if my bf and I are related, some people say we are and others say no don't worry about it. but we would really like to know.

The only way to find out is to trace your family trees. Tips and links as to how you can do that are in the resolved questions.
Unless one of you has a history of genetic defects in your family (hemophilia is a big one), you don't have to worry. If you were first cousins you'd probably know it. First cousins can marry in 26 states and most foreign countries. Any relation further out than that - second cousin, 4th cousin twice removed, etc - is too distant to even bother with.

You are going to have do your family tree, your bf, too. Trace your family roots back. There is of course the possibility you two are related, alot of people distantly are, but not enough to matter. You never know. You'll find out all kinds of cool stuff about your ancestors and find out what countries you're from. Happy searching!!

I think you should ask a family member and ask them to tell the truth or take a compatibility test at the hospital and that tells you if you're related.

WE are all related. Family history, DNA or blood is the best determinant.

Who is saying you are related, and why. If you think there is a chance, talk to your and his older relatives.

ask your parents, aunts and uncles, and trace your history backwards.
