Most of my great-aunts/uncles were born at home in the 1910s & 1920s. There was no nurse or midwife present, so the parents could lie about the ages. and thus no birth certificate Other than the cencus records for the home they were placed in (which none of them can recall which one it was.) How do I find the birth records? The only one I've found has three names & dates crossed out on it.

I had a very strange dream after my Mother died and that was that she wanted me to try and contact her Mothers side of the family Which I know NOTHING about, her mom's name was PALMA THERESA STENSVOLD born June 24, 1904 she married Roy Thorson, she was from NORWAY, the only information I have is in her obituary which says she had a sister Mrs. Thora Johnson of St. Croix Falls, Mrs. Ted Meinhardt, I would appreciate any infomation.

She was born 1876 in Kokomo Indiana, I have checked the court records, marriages, and death records, Its like the earth opened up and took her. She was the foster daughter of Joshua Holland, I did find out some time she used the last name of Holland but mostly Disbrow. She was the daughter of Louisa Finch and Edward Disbrow. Her twin was Joseph Disbrow, and had two sisters Anna and Emma and one brother John all raised around the Spring Valley area. Anna, Emma, and John were raised by grandmother Christiana Finch while Joseph was raised in a foster home. Any help is greatly appreciated.
