My niece wants to name her little girl AHTIRI, but her husband doesn't want to. We think it means "moon princess" but he says he can't find it on the web..Does anybody have any links that have the meaning of AHTZIRI????? HELP!!!????

it means "flor de maiz"(corn flower). it is the only meaning i could find it is possibly an Aztec name but it`s origin is unknown and the meaning lost. the meaning above was given by a man who has this name sorry i could not be of more help.

Well I don’t have a problem with your name, and I understand it better now, but surely there was no way for us to just have looked at your name and automatically associated it with: -punk -rocker/rakiztah -and 15 is for December 15 that my b-day How were we supposed to guess/decipher that? But now that I know... I will know, so you can keep it that way if you want. If not, I think three cheers for sweet revenge sounds cool (like a music band I would like or something... Ha Ha! despite it being a little long). But as you can see from my answer, long is not a problem for me. Cheers!

It is a word in nahuatl, the language spoken in Mexico before the 16th century... I think it means Corn godess, Diosa del maíz-

it is actually spelled backwards. the correct spelling is 'iriztha', which is pronounced err izz' thaw. it's an eskimo word meaning: pee directly on this to thaw it out.

eskimo occasionally need to do this if they leave their spoons outside the igloo over night.

i'm not an eskimo, however, i did stay at a holiday inn express last night!
