My daughter has a supporting role in her middle school production of the Sound of Music. She needs some black character shoes. She will need to do some dancing. She's insisting on shopping at a local dance specialty store and spending about $90, claiming that those shoes are "better" than the more reasonably priced ones we could find on the internet or at a discount dance store.

What should I look for? As a single mom, I don't have unlimited funds. I give her a "clothing allowance" but I retain some control over it and think that $90 on these shoes (which will only be for this show, maybe one more, maybe not) will mean too many other things she can't have. Also, at a size 9.5, I'm not certain her feet have stopped growing.

Advice?

Ok so i am a dancer and have been doing it for 10 years, you get the picture. Now there is this "new girl" in our dance class who isn't all that great but she comments about my dancing all the time saying stuff like oh you are really good! So one time we were talking about the stage we were going to be dancing on and i said that it sucked. Just then she says "Well some of us are too big to get one stage." My dance teacher didn't think anything of it she just thought she ment "Too Big" as in i dance big on stage cause everyone who knows me as a dancer will say yes i dance "BIG" and i do! So now i'm thinking what did she mean? Am i fat? I dance five days a week i'm in front of a mirror almost all the time i think i would know if i'm fat but i'm second guessing this. I haven't eatin since she said that to me.I feel hurt! Anyone know what she ment or what i should say to her? I'm thinking that she is jelous. Tell me what you have to say!! Please! Thanks, *Dancer*

I love to dance, and I understand why people learn to do ballroom dancing, but I don't get the competitions. The style of dancing done there is so phony and grotesque, with those sh*t grins and propped up butts and dripping make-up and fancy hair dos..... what is the attraction?

My fiancee wants tickets to the American Ballet Theatre in New York, but after looking at the list of performances this year, I'm clueless. I mean, I recognize some of the pieces, but I've not seen any of them. Is one better then the other? Which should I purchase tickets for?

I don't know how to dance and don't date so should I go? I get shy in front of people, but then I think of how much fun I might have. I don't know.

They have to be black, white, or pink. We are doing an eighties rap song. I have to be able to dance in them so they can't be too tight or loose. Please nothing revealing.

hi,

I have no idea how to dance in a night club :-(

Could somebody please explain me?

I went to night clubs a few times but I felt so uncomfortable on the dance floor, this was so awkward... so I don't go to night clubs anymore.

But some of my friends want me to go again, so what should I do.

Please explain me a technique.

Thank you so much in advance!!

N.B. I'm a 25 year old female
