I don't know how to dance and don't date so should I go? I get shy in front of people, but then I think of how much fun I might have. I don't know.

all i gotta say is get out there and just rock!! no one cares if you can dance or not and honestly at high school dances u look like more of a loser just standing there watching everyone dance than at least trying to dance. and you know what if someone makes fun of you, you tell them to shove it because you are not afraid to be you. so go and have fun and believe me u dont need a date because boys dont want to dance and drag you down anyways. go with a bunch of girlfriends.

Go with a group of friends and just have have fun. There's nothing that says you actually have to dance, you can always just hang out and talk and eat and stuff...and really, there's not many people that can dance so who cares if you don't know how to. That's half the fun of it.

You'll never learn how to dance or become less shy if you don't go, but you should try to go with a group of your friends so you'll be sure to have people to hang out with and have fun. If it's a formal dance where people usually bring dates, don't let that stop you. My friends and I used to go to formal dances in big groups with lots of boys and girls, but most of us weren't paired up.
Just go and try it. If you get horribly bored or feel really uncomfortable, you can just leave early.

I say go. Remember you only have a limited amount of school dances. If your embarrassed dont be.There is probably someone else that is just as embarrased. Your not the only one that might not be able to day. Remember....you only have one life to live so live life to the fullest.

gurl you should totally go. here is a tip if you go you will make good friends with other people...um...that really didnt sound good...but we had a dance at school and i met this girl that danced good so i complimented her and she said "thanks...come dance" and i danced with her and her friends. i had the best time. so you will ge to know people better that way...i think...so yeah here what i think

just go. If you don't go ur gonna be home thinking about what's happening there. Maybe someone will teach you how to dance there its more fun and experimental then knowing how.

just go with some good friends, you don't want to regret missing out on a lot of high school experiences. it's better to have gone and not had that great a time than to not have gone at all.

haha i think it would be bad to say this but i think that dates just slow you down...
you HAVE to go dance with them(you could be dancing with someone else!)

i would go if i were you.....you can meet new people and take dancing tips from others. and u dont need a date to go, cuz everyone just mingles anyways.....
