My dad ordered me a pair for Christmas from Alabama. The people took out our money and never sent the shoes. Im celebrating Christmas with my father tomorrow, and he feels bad because my shoes aren't in and he really wanted me to have them for tomorrow. Does anybody know any stores around Dallas, Texas that sells ballroom dancing shoes? Thanks!

What i mean is, how do you learn to do the splits and get your leg up straight next to your head from standing and how long does it take to train your body to do it?

ok, my mom is wanting me to go to a ballet school so i can learn it but i want to go to an acting school. she says i have more of a chance to get something if i go to ballet school. but i hate ballet it has always seemed so boring to me. i love acting and singing though. my mom said she would probably more than likely not pay for acting school if that is what i chose. i know if i take ballet then i will hate it and never be amused by it. how do i tell my mom that i hate ballet and when i do tell her how do i get her to let me go to acting school?

I'm not quite sure if the pointe shoes I have a broken in or not. The shank looks like it's snapped in half and the box is somewhat squishy. Also, the fabric that was over the box has completly come off. What do you think? Are my shoes broken in?

I have been dancing around 13 years and have had weak quadriceps, tendinitis in my sesamoid bones basically they are two little bones in the ball of my foot which is very bad for a dancer to have, and torn ligaments in my ankle. I have had people tell me I need to quit dancing, get more confidence, and get stronger and more prepared for a competition. Sometimes, these problems I have go away for a while, because I workout and my muscles get stronger, but then, they start to come back. I had a competition recently where a problem in my sesamoid bones came back and I was limping 5 days before the competition. I realized I should just try to do my best before this competition by taking a break while my sesamoid bones healed. Well, I did very well the first two rounds of my dancing, but then the last round was horrible, because the pain started again and I ended messing up part of the step. Do you think I should quit after all these problems? I did end up qualifying for worlds again.

Okay, i went to a house party today. The party was basically made up of teenage dancing(which is you know, grinding)!! The parents were going crazy, turning on the lights and stopping the music, threatening to tell our parents and shut down the party! It's fun, but why do adults disagree with it?

My girlfriend loves dancing, and I wanna show her a good time but I need to learn to dance? I never have, and feel weird about it. Should I take a class or just practice with her or maybe both?

I am 13 years old and have been taking for 4 years I found that I progress fast but I think that has to do with the fact that ballet means more than anything in the world to me,my mom was thinking about sending me to a summer camp to see if I still wanna work that hard to have my dream come true.Do you think that if I go to one of these summer programs then mabey to a better dance school that I would have a chance of going pro.

Hey,

At our next school dance, one of my good friends (nothing more) and one of her friends have said that they are going to grind with me. I think that the girl likes me should I grind with her more like she is my gf, like really get close and not tuck it if i get a "stiff one" or should I tuck it and not dance too close. Any help and advice on how hard I should grind with them??

i had started dancing when i was about 4, around 14 i had alot of reasons that forced me to stop taking lessons. i still danced a little in highschool, now its five years after high school and i miss it like crazy, im curious as to what types of dance are condusive to those who have been away for a while like me. all this time i've been keeping myself well stretched out and often find myself walking on the balls of my feet at times. any help with my question would be very much appreciated.

I used to dance and took modern dance lessons for a few years when I was in my teens.

I also took a GCSE in dance and just missed an A. I think that I can choreograph and just wondered where to start!

Now I am twenty four years old and just don't know which dance style to take and how to realistically achieve my aims?

Has anyone got any first hand advice? And am I too old?
