Don't look at the audience. Look above their heads or to the place where seiling meets the wall, if that's not too high in your building.

Other than that and practicing a lot - do as many performances with the audience as you can. This worry wears off with time. You'll always be a little nervous, that's normal, but you won't be too nervous.

The audience usually doesn't know exactly what step you were supposed to be dancing. As long as it looks smooth and it flows, it's usually OK if you substitute a step or two, as long as you look as if it was ment to be danced this way.

First,If you'll remember,Alot of people are nervous going on any stage- So that is normal - Understanding that can help you, then relax by taking a few deep breathes- Then begin to hear and feel the beat - like maybe, one and two, and one and two and so on - try never to look down at your feet - and look above the crowd - not directly into the audience - Having a partner can help - you and your partner you can guide each other ! The one saying that has always stuck with me is : If you fall or lose your balance - just smile and no one will know, that it wasn't part of the show - Dance has been and still is my passion ! One more thing be proud of what you have to offer, that will carry you far !! - and have fun !! -- Good-Luck-- You'll make it --- Pattijo
