I really want to learn how to break dance, but I don't know where to start. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the basics are and where to learn how to break dance. Please and Thank You!

i'm doing it for a dance competition and in the beginning there is an announcer guy and he says some band called the "O..."
all i know is that it starts with an O!... HELP!!! i need ananswer ASAP!

like, not specific like salsa or ballroom. I guess hip hop would be closest to what I'm looking for. I mean, a class where you could learn to move in a way that might be useful when going out to a club, or dancing at a party.

I am kinetically quite stupid and can't pick up stuff from just watching people informally. I think I need remedial attention by taking a class where someone will break it up for me piece by piece and we all practice it. what kind of class would this be? what would it be called? basic movement? does anyone have specific places to recommend in new york/northern nj?

i tried asking my friends but they don't know the name and the dance. well,the dance something like ballet but it isn't ballet.the music is slow and the dance is very graceful and slow too.the dancers leap in the air at times too,showing their flexibility.it can be solo or two people dancing,must if it is a duet,consists of a female n a male.they dance with expression too.what is it called?

Ok...i am doing a routine at a baton competition in disney world and i'm doin something called dance twirl. it's the only thing you get to use your own music for & i want something up-beat and new but it cant have any cuss words or bad stuff. i'll be dancing and twirling in it so something with a good rythem. Any suggestions??

Hi everyone, thank you so much for taking your time to read this. I have looked everywhere trying to come up with a great name for a dance studio I am opening up in Hollywood, CA and found nothing that resonates with what I want my studio to represent. So I was hoping if I reached out to you, that you might just have a great idea for a name. Any contribution you make would make a world of difference so thank you in advance !!!
JUst to give you a taste of what it will be:
After school program for kids - ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hip
All of the above for adults throughout the week as well as all of the ballroom styles (salsa, tango, waltz, etc)
I will also have a saturday workshop named after a mentor of mine that will be an audition only dance company.
I want people to leave there knowing that they can always comeback and have a blast dancing. Whether its to learn a few moves, prepare for a wedding, lose weight or just to release the stress of the day. I want it to be their refuge. THX!

I believe the dancers pay a flat fee to the house and the house also deducts a % of the dance charge. Anybody know precisely how the payment works?
