I do irish step, any special tequniches i have been dancing for 8 years thank you and good luck at your feis!

i take irish step dancing and love it! its just so different from other types of dancing i do but in a good way. the feis' are so fun and exciting to compete in and to watch! good luck in your feis' and happy holidays! =)

I started when I was 46 years old. I wish I had when I was a child, but I still had fun in the class I took. I'm much better at Brazlian dance, which is the class I took earlier this year.
Irish step dance is much harder than most people believe, and I work out three times a week, lift weights and do yoga. You have to be very young or a real powerhouse to do the irish steps!

Of course you can do it without being irish! I'm Irish, but I've competed against African Americans, Italians and Russians, so it doesn't matter what your ethnicity (spelling? lol) is, they'll gladly accept anyone. And finding instructors is actually easy, just finding one you're really happy with can be a bit of a challenge depending on where you live. Good luck, i hope you get to start :)
