My girlfriend loves dancing, and I wanna show her a good time but I need to learn to dance? I never have, and feel weird about it. Should I take a class or just practice with her or maybe both?

Have her teach you at home. That could make some real romantic evenings. (Wink)

Look into renting some vid instruction through netflix or some reantal store, call some of the clubs around town. Some may offer dance lessons with free cover. Private teachers are expensive. I learned through vid instruction. Some I rented from online, others I checked out at the library. They're old, but it's the same old song & dance. Most moves you can combine with others and have something totally original. You guys should do it together. I think it would be fun. But dancing with another partner is also cool because you get different feedback from them and help better develop your skills.

Hi!
Dancing is like excersice you would have to move your hips the oposite side from your upper body. But It all depends what are you trying to dance to then just have a little fun by moving to it in a fasion that makes you feel confortable as well as your partner. But most defenitely have fun with her at home first to see what you too know and maybe you can follow her moves.

You have to put your all into dancing, you have live and breathe music, learn the beats and rhythms in music, try moving to those beats, practice on your own first, you'll be surprise what your body could move to, just let loose and enjoy yourself, if you look like your having fun, trust me, you'll look great, it's when your nervous and unsure of yourself, it's so noticeable.

Go out with your friends first. If they are the brutally honest type they will let you know if you dance like a dork. If you do then definitely take the class.

Most likely through dancing lessons. Check your local recreation center for classes. Or better yet...ask Santa for dancing lessons.

Have someone point a loaded gun at your head, and tell you to learn to dance, or else they will put one in your ear. That will give you plenty of incentive.
