THE CRUCIBLE
Which one should i pick to write a 2-3 essay on?

1-The word crucible means a container for melting or purifying metals and severe test. Explain how and why these meanings are appropriate for the characters and action of Miller's play.

2-Some have claimed that the Crucible's characters are only "mouthpieces" for Miller's ideas. Support or refute critic Walter Kerr, who said, "For Salem, and the people in it, are really only conveniences to Mr. Miller, props to his themes. he does not make them interesting in and of themselves, and you wind up analyzing them..rather than losing yourself in any rounded, deeply rewarding personalities."

3-Instead of the "devil walking Salem," John Proctor says, "vengeance is walking Salem." Explain how this is true. Examine the motivations for the witch hunts and examine the consequences that follow. Besides the deaths, what happended to the community and its, values, morals, way of life?

also...maybe give me some ideas : )

ok im on like the 9th book which has taken me two months to read, im forcing myself to read the whole series, by the end of the yr, but i dont think im going to make it. I get to the part where chloe finds a safe house full of minority ppl...and they give her a flyer that was passed to them that says.

Jesus loves pimps, whores, crackheads, drunks, players, hustlers, mothers with no husbands, and children with no fathers.

in all the other 8 books never mentions anything about this until they find a room full of color...I think I'm about to be sick.

Ok so I am a young writer who is thinking ahead. I am 13 and I need to be looking towards angents and copyrighting. I have no idea how to go about doing this. Where can a get the best agent possible who is willing to at least give me a chance? Plus on top of all that this is so much copyrighting, and I have heard of the "poor man's copyright," but I have also heard that it is not technically legal for a published book. I understand that a agent may be able to work out the official copyright that I need, but I do also want a copyright that is good enough to make it through a couple people's hands safely, besides the copyright we all legally have without a purchase. Please help out more on the agents then anything else...I am stessing on the the most.
Thanks

I misheard my English teacher about the thesis being at the end of the last paragraph and didn't know he meant the last sentence of the first paragraph and now my first paragraph's a run-on and I'm not sure how to summarize what it is I'm exactly writing about, what I did was experiment with recurring themes and motifs in an effort to reveal Holden's character and psychological problems with quotes represented in the book (I know I need to quote more.), please help! >.> and thank you..

Run-on: J.D. Salinger’s 1951 classic, The Catcher in the Rye, is a coming-of-age novel about psychological and moral treatise. It is written through the course of two days (most likely December 18 & 19), starting after the story’s protagonist, Holden Caulfield’s expulsion from the elite Pencey Prep and leading up to the events that land him in a psychiatric facility.

I am looking for a short story that I believe may be at least 20 years old. A man and a woman meet at a hotel, and she begs him to save her form a bad guy. It's kind of a noir-ish thing. I believe the hotel is near the desert.

They run off in his car and he wakes up as they're driving across the desert and he realizes she's gleefully swerving the car to run over all the little animals in the road in the desert night. He realizes he's been had and leans his head back in misery and despair

I would appreciate anyone who can help me track it down!
