The book was just released in November, from what I read the book was endorsed by the estate of Margaret Mitchell. As a fan of the original I thought that "Scarlett" was a bit of a disappointment. I can't wait to read this one just to see. Each fan will have to read for itself to determine what they think or how they feel. You will never know unless you take the plunge and read the book.

I really want to read it but decided in order to give it proper criticism that I will reread Gone with the Wind again first. I have read it twice before but many years ago. I am about 2/3 through it. Even if I end up hating RBP, I am so glad to be pushed to reread the best book ever written.

i haven't read it, but if you google it, you'll find a lot of articles about how long it took for the book to be written and all the issues that her estate had with writers. they heavily endorse this book, so it's probably similar in style to mitchell.

Thanks!!!
I didn't know they came out with a book for Rhett's character. I read GWTW and loved it (better then the movie). Scarlett I have to agree with Hicks was a disappointment.
I'm adding this book to my wish list.
