Like Everybody else, I am going to have to say, The Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer, because over the past two years, it have gained thosands of fans. People are starting to call it the next Harry Potter. I read them about a year and a half ago, and the day I finished the first book, Twilight, I went straight out and bought the second book, New Moon. Now, I know you heard this a couple of times, so I have another few books.
I really like the Sarah Dessen books, This Lullaby, The Truth About Forever, and ect. I think those are really great book.
Also, I love the books by Natasha Friend, like Perfect, Lush, and Bounce. I think those are really great growing up books, personally, Perfect is my favorite.
Also, one of my favorite series is the Bras and Broomsticks series, I read all three books in a weekend, because they were so good, I couldn't put them down. They are nothing like the titles sound like, which are kind of innappropiate, it is nothing like that.
Lastly, I just finished this book called 'I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'll Have To Kill You.' and the sequl 'Cross My Heart, and Hope To Spy.' they are also very good.
I hope some of the books I have mentioned will work for you.!

Go to Amazon.com and search:
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1" - Book 2 is going to be out in the next 6 weeks or so, Book 3 is written and in editing and will be out sometime in the next few months.
"Death by MURDER David Lindsay" - you have to search that way or it won't come up. There's lots of sex in that one.
"Super Spaghetti"
And the best part is, for now, they're all FREE. You can read them with Kindle Unlimited - if you don't have Kindle Unlimited Google how to get a free trial, and all those books are free. They can be read online, with a free Kindle phone app, or on a Kindle.

It really depends on what you're looking for :)

all of Sarah Dessen's books are really great.. for classics, try To Kill A Mockingbird and Of Mice and Men-- both wonderful. For lighter stuff, I like the Gossip Girl books and both of Gabrielle Zevin's books.

Hope this helps :)

Depends on what kind of books you like.

David Sedaris- memoirs, very light, entertaining, and easy to read, but still stimulating.

Kurt Vonnegut- heavier, darkly funny novels making statements about the world around us.

Phillip Pullman- writer of children's fantasy, but also appealing to adults. A movie of one of his books is coming out soon, so now would be a good time to read him.

Two books come to mind, by John Steinbeck, "Of Mice and Men" and the "Call of the Wild". Both are excellent reading. Both are very old, but will hold your interest and you will like them I believe. Good Reading.
