There is some kind of guilty pleasure in pulling books such as Sweet Valley High and The Babysitter's Club off my shelf to read once again. I am thinking I am the only one still enjoying books like this even though I have clearly outgrown them. So whats your guilty pleasure?

In the novel, how is Jim a hero, other than when he risks his life just to get Tom Sawyer a doctor? Quotes and page numbers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks to all who contribute!

Has anyone read the book "The Twelveth Planet?" It's all about the Nephilim( mentioned in Genesis of the Bible) and how they were capable of space travel in those days and how the people looked unto them as gods. If you have read it, what is your take on it? It's very interesting.

Has anyone ever created their own government in a fantasy/sci fi or any other type of book? I was just wondering if anyone had put the time in creating something new instead of the standard monarcy or demoratic or communism groups.

So, I know that the original fairy tales from way back when were more gruesome than Disney or the Bros. Grimm let on. like about Cinderella killing her dad's first wife and more stuff that was deemed not suitable for children. My question is does anyone know where to find a good collection of these stories, either in print or on the internet?
