I'll start. I would say thank you. Some of my most cherished memories with my kids had to do with reading Harry Potter to them nearly every night for the last 7 1/2 years. Sure it was our choice to read her books and our choice to become big fans; but her contribution is still appreciated. The ending also hit a chord with me. My oldest is reading the 7th book on his own now. He likes to pick on my middle kid who just finished her first year of going to school full time. Meanwhile, my youngest gave me the "I want to go to school too" bit. Life goes on and yet I still hear the same taunts, songs, and games that we said, sang and played as kids. Some things don't change. I'm sure her books will last generations too. I'll look forward to anything she writes in the future...Oh, and I hope she enjoys her break.
