a) MEET: Jay Gatsby, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This was a tough call, but the reclusive, enigmatic millionaire is too good to pass up. He drew us in but kept us at arm's length, was delicious fodder for gossip, was elegantly polite and generous, but did we ever really know the suffering that was there just beneath the polished surface?
b) KISS: Francisco D'Anconia, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. John Galt may have been the hero and Hank Rearden was the sexy tycoon, but Francisco with his innate prowess at everything he did and his unbelievable confidence and charisma was the one who won my heart.
c) KILL: Dolores Umbridge, Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix by JK Rowling. I apogolize for dragging Harry Potter into this, but I would have been quite satisfied to see Miss Umbridge die. The writing of the knife-pen ("I must not tell lies") was more disturbing to me than most other "evil" acts, perhaps because it was easier to fathom than something as terrible as killing, or perhaps because it was done by an authority figure - a teacher - to a child. Even so - I could only give her a literary death, not a real one. Otherwise I would be rather a terrible person myself...
d) BE: Dominque Francon, The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Beautiful, intelligent, respected, elegant, rich, with the love of two fascinating and sexy men. However, I would like her life but not her neuroses - she does get carried away with her devotion when she accidentally almost commits suicide.

Thanks for the intriguing question!

Meet: Georgia Nicolson from Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging. Because she cracks me up so bad.

Kiss: Both the Weasley twins, becuase they are funny and gorgeous and just perfect. And maybe Artemis Fowl, because his intelligence is really quite attractive. Also Snape, because he's so sad...sorry; I have HP on the brain, and I'm in love with almost all the male characters in those books.

Kill: Uhh, Bella from Twilight, because she's kind of an annoyingly weak character. *cringe* don't kill me---no---AAAAAAAAAAAUUUGHGHGHGHGHGHG!!!!!
And Voldemort...this will sound really weird, but the moment I finished the first book, I've been thinking about ways to kill him. Is that scary? (I know, I know. He's from Harry Potter again. But I'm a little obsessed just right now.)

Be: Dairine from High Wizardry. She's young, she's a supergenius, and she can do magic with a computer. Ohhhh, yeahhhhh.

Meet - Father Brown cos he seems like a lovely lovely guy.
Kiss - The Evil witch in the Narnia books cos I'm kinky.
Kill - Stephen Dedalus in Joyce's Portrait of the Artist because he's clearly an arsehole and clearly based on the author himself
Be - Sherlock Holmes - c'mon. It would be brilliant!

a)Thursday Next from The Eyre Affair because she gets to go into books, to see what fiction looks like on the inside and when it's being created.
b) King Jonathon from the Song of the Lioness books. Those sapphire blue eyes and the black hair, he sounds lovely.
c) Carrie from Sister Carrie. She was so annoying and stupid in the book, I just couldn't stand her. I was really upset that she didn't actually die in the end.
d) Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice, because she has always been one of my favorite characters, so smart and funny, and she ends up with Mr. Darcy.
