Well, a limited edition book isn't usually as valuable as they'd like you to think, but if yours has a serious manufacturing defect, then the value could skyrocket.

I disagree with Demonslayer to a degree: some books have more artifactual value and should only be handled minimally, but since we're talking about retail books, I agree 100%.

i own the first adition harry potter 7 if that is what you are talking about. i keep it away from everything and evryone except for me. I like to keep it safe and dont let anyone touch it. I make sure I dont scratch the cover or get a greese mark on any of the pages. I love my harry potter book 7 and I have almost finished reading it twice!!

Not here but at some other site I was reading that a quite a few people have gotten their books like that. Makes you wonder if its supposed to be that way or if there was some error, but you are not the only one. :)

That is really weird....you should contact Scholastic or Bloomsbury, depending on which edition you have. You could also try contacting the store you bought it from.

Why else would you read a book except to read it? If you buy it to put it on the shelf, that is just retarded. Books are meant to be read, not put on display and never touched.
