I am studying American culture and I will be writing my thesis about Chicago soon. Could you recomend me some good books (not guidebooks) about Chicago, novels that take place in Chicago and movies if you know any.

i wrote this poem for my first true love, is it good? any suggestions?


I met a girl, not long ago
She was sweet, I loved her so
I thought for a while then moved my feet
Maybe our love was never to be
A few days passed, I talked to her
I was friendly; I began to think, sure
I really like her, she might like me
Then I decided to ask her out finally
I was nervous, but then she said ok
We went to the movie, it ended the day.
We both went home, and went to sleep
This is a love I want to keep.

I would like to sell the following books...they are rare...

*The Poetical Works of Thomas Hood with Biographical Introduction by William Michael Rossetti, published by A.L. Burt, NY

It is a red hardcover. On the outside it says HOOD'S POEMS. There is not date on it though it has to be at least 90 years old.



*Whirligigs, by O. Henry. Published by Doubleday, Page and Company in 1910

This is a blue hardcover.
