The story is about a woman named Victoria who returns to Colorado after her father is murdered. She is looking for her teen brother who is a suspect but ske knows he's innocent. She hires a private investigator to find him but there is a problem. Five years ago they had a careless fling that resulted in a child.

I have this english essay (400 words) - Write a stroy ending with the words :

'He looked up. And there, to his astonishment, stood the man in the tattered coat who had warned him about going on the trip earlier that week.'

I really have no idea what to write right now-- Any ideas? i need a good story. What would you write?

Read a long time ago - in it, scientist end up sending a probe to apparently another dimension, where the probe malfunctions and the camera points up at the red sky for hours. (Also sort of remember there being two suns). Eventually there is a fleeting movement from a dark shape that flies past above. The shape, when enhanced, looks like a demonic shape from traditional folklore. I don't remember much else, I think they may have sent some scientists over eventually, who end up dying/killing themselves. I also seem to remember there was some type of dark plant life they caught in the footage that was unidentifiable as a known species...

I know that's pretty vague, but it's driving me crazy!

the story is about a rich royal family, that lives in the modern world.but still keeps it's past alive.

I have been dreaming of getting published for ages, and I have finished writing my novel (Which is a historical fantasy for young adults and teenagers). We all know that the attract the attention of publishers and agencies, the first few pages have to be fantastic! My problem is that I don't know which chapter I should put first for my story!
I have two chapters which I love equally, but I don't know which one is more gripping and interesting to a reader. I need you guys to help me - you might some day be my readers!
