For my english class, I have to rewrite the classic story "The Tortoise and the Hare". I have to change the plot completely and use different characters. Could you please help me come up with an interesting plot, but still have a moral in the end?

This Journey

Take my hand,

I'll take yours.

Let's take the open road,

Drive wherever we feel like going.

And I'll cry just cause I have the tears,

I'm tired of laughing let's get serious for a bit.

I'll miss home,

But I wouldn't trade this journey for the world.

Take my hand and I'll take yours,

Don't tell me to stop,

Or to turn around,

I want this journey.

The signs aren't there,

Let's just take the journey.

I want to dance,

Because we have the chance.

Let's go, let's just drive.

I just want you to know,

I care.

So let's go, hand in hand.

We'll cry cause we have the tears,

We'll dance because there's music.

I want to write my own story,

On this wonderful journey of ours.

Sure, it's spontaneous,

But sometimes what we need is unplanned.

I want to go,

So let's just leave.

The road is ahead; let's go on this journey.

I'll miss home,

But I've had home all my life.

So let's go!

Take my hand and I'll take yours,

We'll smile cause we're out of tears,

We'll take pictures to remember,

This life filled journey of ours.

Let's begin, hand in hand,

I'll show you the way,

As long as you show me.

Let's live life just cause we can.

I read it along time ago and I really loved it. However, I can't find it now! It's like they're all disappearing. Every time I go to any bookstore I look for it...and it's never there. I just find it odd.

Anyone else have that problem with this book or another one?

For my AP English class we're doing book reports based on literary criticism about our author's works (I'm currently reading A Time To Kill and The Firm). Grisham is a contemporary author and rather difficult to research, so the only source I was able to find thus far is a book entitiled "John Grisham: A Critical Companion."

Anyone know where I can find some good, legitimate literary criticism? I need to find 6 more sources for my report.

Sometimes I dream of clouds,
Sheep that bleat and go grey in the rain,
Broken heating pipes.
Blackberry-dark fingernails,
Digging in the yard.
Oh, to have a yard.
Leathery cows with wet nostrils,
Who break the fencing every week,
And mooch down the dirt road.

I remember those immortal words:
‘Get a taste of real life’
and the way I thought of Canary Wharf
as opportunity.

Yet here I am now, in the city,
A rush of dust and carhorns, pickled businessmen.
And I can’t breathe.

Thanks for any comments :) x
