For my AP English class we're doing book reports based on literary criticism about our author's works (I'm currently reading A Time To Kill and The Firm). Grisham is a contemporary author and rather difficult to research, so the only source I was able to find thus far is a book entitiled "John Grisham: A Critical Companion."

Anyone know where I can find some good, legitimate literary criticism? I need to find 6 more sources for my report.

Yeah, Google probably won't find what you're looking for, especially about in-depth and worthwhile literary criticism.

Now, since Grisham is a relatively new author there's probably not too much on his works. I understand your problem. I've been there before. It can be really frustrating.

First of all, look at the book that you've found already. Is the book composed of chapters written by different people? You can use each chapter as a source since it's written by multiple people.

There are a number of online journal websites to help you out (see list below). I suggest that you search for John Grisham and go from there. I hope you have access to a decent library that subscribes to scholarly journals, as these websites usually only give you the reference.

If your educational institution subscribes to these online journals, you're set. You can do your research from home. Just make sure you know how to access these online journals if you can/

How about looking up some of the book reviews published in good newspapers as he brought out new books? Very often there will be really good critiques in those reviews. One starting point might even be the jacket covers of the book where they reproduce quotes about the books. You'd only get the positive reviews there, but they could led to others.

Good luck.
