I read it along time ago and I really loved it. However, I can't find it now! It's like they're all disappearing. Every time I go to any bookstore I look for it...and it's never there. I just find it odd.

Anyone else have that problem with this book or another one?

It should be in print. All of his other books are. It's by Michael Connelly.

Bookstores stock already released items independently... and they mostly only get books that they feel will suit their target audience. Since it looks like you're looking for an older fiction novel, something that might only be sought after by someone who's already read the novel or is a fan of the author, I'm guessing most stores wouldn't stock it.

Most stores are more interested in the newest releases, high-profile authors, books that deal with interests many people have, current events, and selections of classics or cannons of things like philosophy or religious texts. If an author is popular, sometimes stores will only stock their latest or greatest novels.

I have problems finding lots of older/obscure things...not just books. :)

And yes, it still is in print--check amazon.com.

It's in print, so the problem is the bookstores you're looking in. Try Amazon or half.com.

Depending on how long ago you read it, it's probably out of print. Try looking for it online.

If you just want to read it again, try the public library.
