I'm sure if you have a tri-band or quad-band phone, most newer ones are like the Razr, you can use it worldwide but you may want to talk to your service provider to get more details, all carriers are different.

definite American home equipment artwork here in Japan. My computing device, can opener, lamp, ice cream maker (takes a couple of minutes longer), besides as hair dryer and stereo all artwork nice. You dont desire a converter in Japan. yet once you purchase an equipment from Japan and take it to united statesa., the skill distinction can burn out your electronics, fantastically computing device chords or upload-ons. wish that helps.

There are special phone that you need that have GPS in it. Unless you got money to blow...just leave your phone.
