I have had lots of personal tragedies to happen in my life that left me pretty down hearted. Most of these things I have gotten over, and gotten the victory over. So I thought that maybe writing a book would be therapy for me plus maybe I could help someone in the process. I have been thinking about writing a book for many years, and I feel that maybe I had better get started if its ever meant to be. Only serious answers please. Thank You.

There's one currently selling on ebay, with a day still to go and the bid is at £300! My girlfriend has a copy exactly the same in mint condition that was her mothers from when she was a little girl and we had no idea it was worth something.

If you HAD to right a book on what it meant to be an adult what would be the main responsibilities be that you attribute to adulthood.

Also, what about responsibilities pertaining to society?

For school I'm writing a five chapter book (first two paragraphs below) about an Amer-Asian girl and I need input and history. any books or sites or info you can offer? thanks!

"Please give me a name."

This might work. The nameless girl had suffered a lot. She was an Amer-Asion living on the streets of Korea. Being a homeless orphan was bad. Being Amer-Asian in Korea was worse. But being nameless was worst.

Her father had taught her English. She remembered him. Laughing blue eyes, an odd spattering of brownish-orange polka dots on his face, and long limbs. She remembered watching the sky swirl by as he whiled her around, then her was face smashed against his no-longer-crisp uniform in a hug. Then her feet were on the ground again and she watched his long legs walk away. He left with her that memory, brief knowledge of the Enlglish language, and the feeling that life was good and she belonged to a world made fo a freckled soldier and herself with a beautiful sky

I'm 18 so I hardly count as an "adult" but I just wanted to know if any other "adults" still like to read young adult fiction. Is it weird to still read this stuff at 18+?

*Hauing this day my horse, my hand, my launce*
*Guided so well that I obtain'd the prize,*
*Both by the iudgement of the English eyes*
*And of some sent from that sweet enemy Fraunce;*
*Horsemen my skill in horsemanship aduaunce,*
*Towne folkes my strength; a daintier iudge applies*
*His praise to sleight which from good vse doth rise;*
*Some luckie wits impute it but to chance;*
*Others, because of both sides I doe take*
*My blood from them who did excell in this,*
*Thinke Nature me a man-at-armes did make.*
*How farre they shot awrie! The true cause is,*
*Stella lookt on, and from her heau'nly face*
*Sent forth the beames which made so faire my race. *
