I have what I think is a good idea for a story - however - I don't know if has already been done, and I'm not sure if I'm up to the challenge! I don't think I have a wide range of vocabulary and I don't think all my other grammar is good! What should I do? I want to try, but I don't want to be disappointed

The song (Bobbie Gentry sang it) is playing on the radio right now. It was also a movie starring Robbie Benson. The song actually came first! Very rare!

The book came later, around the mid-70s and I read it when I was about 13. It was my first "exposure" to the concept of homosexuality and while my Mom was horrified that I was reading it, she let me and I remember loving the book.

Does anyone else remember it?

I was just wondering if there are any books that are extremely interesting and fairly easy to read, I can read the challenging ones and ones with underlying messages, they aren't as fun, but I still enjoy a good message that isn't easy to find. I also love Stephen King and any kind of horror or mystery or suspense. Like I said, I'm a very diverse reader, I just would love something specific to go look for at Half-Price Books. :D so if you have any great suggestions any great reads as of lately please feel free to get free points and let me know. :D Thanks so much! <3

Go check!
Of course, you got to tell me how many of those do you read at least once a week? Maybe you can have 50 and only read 1!

I have 23 (hey I recently moved! jeje.) and I only read 4, and only 1 daily. A bible, an english language book, IQ challege book, like 4 love-related books, "World Religions", 6-7 Information Technology books, and a couple of Chemistry books.
How about you?

I am doing an author study on Carol O'Connell for my lit. class and no where can i find anything about why she chose the genre of writing she does and why she chose to use a protagonist so unattached and unemotional (Kathleen Mallory). If anyone knows where I can find more detailed information about this author please let me know. Thanks

You just have to look at the success of Lord of the rings, the chronicles of narnia, the dark tower, harry potter (just to name a few).
To realise that fantasy is amazingly popular, what causes this?
