Was anyone else affected by the book "A Child Called It"?If so Why?

I have not read it but the reviews on Amazon are enough to "affect" me. What a harrowing story!

Have you read any of Mark Haddon books. Try them. Also,
any books by David Rakoff.....FRAUD and DONT GET TOO COMFORTABLE.

Yes...i read it about 5 years ago but i will never forget it.
