I am 16 and I am having trouble finding books that are my age level. Teen books tend to be to easy and light, but adult books seem to be to complicated for what I am interested in...any good books that are in the middle or that are really good?

Let's have a game.......... I will randomly pick up a book from my shelf, read a sentence, block out names, and you have to guess the book! (I'll try not to make the books TOO unknown!)

1. Mainly I got the pants because *name*'s mom hates second hand clothing stores.

2. From his garden, Mr. *name* would have led them round his two meadows; but the ladies, not having shoes to encounter the remains of a white frost, turned back; and while Sir *name* accompanied him, *name* took her sister and friend over the house, extremely well pleased, probably, to have the oppurtunity to show it without her husband's help.

3. Hours later, walking home, my boots crunching on the snow, I bent my head backward to drink in the crystal stars.

4. My sister, Mrs. *name* *name* was more then 20 years older then I, and had established a great reputation with herself and the neighbors because she had brought me up "by hand"

4. But now, the tall, stoutm beak nosed woman who sat opposite *name*

I studied Japanese for 4 years. I memorized the 2000 basic kanji, I already know a lot more, but I'm not sure how many.

I want to study Chinese now. I bought a Chinese book and loved it. I understand all the hanzis, there are some new ones, but I don't have any problems memorizing them. I only found ONE book that taught hanzis and grammar, it was good, but it was very basic. There are some books that teach only hanzis, but no grammar. There are some books that teach grammar, but they don't use hanzis, they teach everything in roman letters.

What book is good to learn Chinese for someone who's very familiar with kanji?

Hello. I want to read Canterbury tales. What guide can I use to have it explained to me as I read it? A lifetime ago when I was in highschool we read one or two of the storys and my professor did a great job explaining all about the symbolism and what things meant. I bought the penguin edition and I know if I just read it now I won't understand all the contexts and meanings of what is there. Anyone know of a good guide to help me along please? Thank you.

You have past tense (was, did, said) you have present tense (am, do, say) but I have never read anything in future tense, so I do not know how to write like that. Please write a sentence or two in future tense so I know what you mean.

If so, what's your favorite book of his?
And also, does anyone know if he has started writing the third book of the Christopher Snow Trilogy?

Is there such a thing? Like write the book and get a % of the royalties? So if they write the story well, they earn more. If they write a crap story it's not money wasted :-)

It's about a woman who meets a man who's a telepath. I believe so is the rest of his family. He takes her to his family's cabin in the mountains... or something. Must have been written between 1985 and 1995. I don't remember anything else except that it was extremely well written (which you don't see all that often in the romantic genre) and very funny.
