I went to babynames.com to find names and a meaning that matched my characters personalities. The names that a loved were confusing of how to pronounce, but I used them anyways. Name examples: Jorah, Jamon, Caelan, and Amalia. Some I used for surnames, but I need a site that has pronounciations and meanings that are alphabetized. Anyone have sites?

There are currently five books:

The Clan of the Cave Bear
The Valley of Horses
The Mammoth Hunters
The Plains of the Passage
The Shelters of Stone

I believe that there is one more book to come in the Earth's Children series of books by Jean M Auel. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so when it will be published?

I am a writer with a porblem. Ever time I write something I only get 2 kinds of reply to my work. Something insanely rude ( stink at spelling, and the rude persons cant help but be mean about it) or Good story. I would like to get a really detailed rev. Does anyone think that will ever happen or will I be forever stuk with good story.

I'm interested in studying all about birds all across the globe, but I can't seem to find any books out there in either libraries, bookstores, or even online that show they have books on worldwide birds. Alls I see are Guides to find birds in Eastern or Western America, but never anywhere else. Where should I look and what do I type in to find the books I'm looking for.

The problem with reading fiction other than Crime and Romance is that the syntax of sentences is too comlpicated; Sentences are too long -spanning 4-5-6 lines and there are multiple words per page that if you looked up each time in dictionary you will spend equal time looking up and reading.

I am fairly intelligent. I have post graduate training and my vocalulary is better than most people I know -my guess is at least 25,000, 30,000 words - but I am still having this difficulty!
If I have difficulty reading these works of Roth, Updike and Bellow my guess is that 95% of readers do.

So my question is: is it a prerequisite of 'great' literature to be difficult to read? Do the authors do this deliberately or is this their natural flow of language - when they talk in everyday conversation, do they talk in sentences 50-75 words long? Do they automatically discard 97% population from their potential readers and just don't care to communicate with average Joes?

Should I tell my parents that I wrote a poem or should I not. I wrote a poem titled Love is and I am a guy and I kinda think its weird for guys to write poems. I do not know if I should tell them please help. Heres the poem
Love is like the wind it blows and blows again
Love is like a flower that blooms every spring
Love is like the sun that gives light during the day
Love is like music that rings in my ear
Love is like a kiss from somebody y ou adore
And it makes me sure that I love you
I love you smile as we dance in the rain
I love when we kiss it drives me insane
I love it when you look at me with those clear blue eyes
I love your long flowing hair as it blows in the wind
I love you and only yo
You are the only one that listens when it seems nobody else cares
You listen when I worry and try to calm me down
Your words are so soft and loving they are soothing and sound
