There are currently five books:
The Clan of the Cave Bear
The Valley of Horses
The Mammoth Hunters
The Plains of the Passage
The Shelters of Stone
I believe that there is one more book to come in the Earth's Children series of books by Jean M Auel. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so when it will be published?

She usually takes about five years to research and write each book. The Shelters of Stone was published in 2002, so maybe next year we'll get the last one in the series.

I truly have a great number of in demand books written by utilizing Anne McCaffrey. She writes somewhat interesting dragon books. also yet another author that writes a chain observed as the Dragon Jousters, is Mercedes Lackey. you should envision those authors out if you're into dragon books like me! ?

I have not heard about a sixth book and Jean turned 70
this year. I thought with Ayla having found her destiny from
her dreams Shelters of Stone wold have been the last one
but I will keep my eyes open.

I checked with Barnes and Noble, and they said the publishers have not yet posted a date for it

I asked that same question at the book store last week? The answer was... It is half written but Jean is very sick and the outlook is bleak.
