I can barely stand to watch them because of how they exaggerated the whole Arwen/Aragorn relationship and how they made the riders of Rohan look like they had no warriors and added stupid pointless irrelevant crap that didnt even come close to following the book. Like how they made Faramir act like a dumbass and made Frodo way more weak than he was in the book. Does anyone else get annoyed by this as much as I do? Tell me what discrepancy annoys you the most.....

Just so you know I have been reading the Lord of the Rings repeatedly every year since I was 9 years old so I know it very well they are my favorite books of all time including the Hobbit.

I'm not sure if this is the right category in which to ask this, but I really need to know how to get ideas for a story or a novel. I've tried to find prompts on the Internet, but they all stink. I'd just like to know a good premise for a story.

I looked under cliffnotes but their description didn't quite make sense to me and sparknotes doesn't have this particular sonnet available for overview. The 3 uses of 'state' is also really confusing to me in this sonnet.
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated!

Here is the whole passage:

"How sweet the moonlight sleeps upon this bank!
Here will we sit and let the sounds of music
creep in our ears. Soft stillness and the night
become the touches of sweet harmony.
Sit, Jessica. Look how the floor of heaven
is thick inlaid with patines of bright gold.
There's not the smallest orb which thou beholdest
but in his motion like an angel sings,
still choiring to the young-eyed cherubim.
Such harmony is in immortal souls,
but while this muddy vesture of decay
doth grossly close it in, we cannot hear it." (V,i,54-65)

I am only interested in this specific passage, not the whole scene. How would this passage be rendered in ordinary English? Can anyone refer me to an authoritative commentary?

I write poetry, and sometimes I want to post it on a forum and share it, or email it to a friend, etc. I am really really nervous about doing something like that, though, as I worked hard on my material and would be devastated if someone stole my work. I was thinking of sending it to myself and not opening the envelope before I did anything, so I can use that as 'copyright proof,' because copyrighting it officially takes so long, but even so, if someone claimed the work as their own somewhere on the net there's a chance I wouldn't find out. Am I being overtly cautious? Would you share your poems online? And would sending my poems to myself first be a reasonable precaution, or is that not good enough? Thanks.

Or are they just as coherent and good to read if read in a random sequence? Just i'm reading Interview with a Vampire at the moment but i can't seem to find the second book in the series. Would it matter so much if i missed it?

I made it up while thinking of a poem....

Words jumbled up on the page,
Pencil scribbling till the lead wears thin.

Not sure where this poem is going,
The lines will not quite fill up.

The clock ticks as I grab for adjectives,
The sun fades along with my ideas.

This poem never seems to fit,
Nothing inspires me at all.

My room is the same.... not enlightening,
The music playing too typical.

Writing this poem took so long,
All the thoughts took so much nudging to come.

This poem is just a bunch of words,
Words that took all this time to think of.

They've changed the creative writing tutor and now I'm being told to add more bedroom detail. I'm trying to write a document about a woman's life and how she ended up with three men and three children in a semi-autobiographical style, mistakes, everything. I'm being honest and perhaps for others to think on and he's being commercial but they reckon he's right if I want it to sell. I think it will still sell if I don't follow his advice? My ex's aren't dead.
