I have some issues with Christian fiction. Most of it is poorly written. It can get preachy sometimes and then I feel guilty for not enjoying the book, which leads me to wonder if Christian fiction is kind of an oxymoron. Do books written by a Christian from a Christian worldview (but not necessarily about Christians) count as "Christian fiction"? Can anyone give examples of what they consider to be quality Christian fiction?

This is a passage from William Faulkner's Nobel Prize acceptance speech. It sounds good, but what does it really mean...
"I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance."

I really want to find a book I read about 10 years ago; it was set up as love letters going back and forth between a man and a woman, and some of the letters were strange. I cannot find it anywhere! Anyone have any idea what I am talking about?

My fiancee is a librarian. What are some novels that you've read and would recommend featuring one or more librarians? Please only books that you have read and enjoyed, no random stuff from Amazon searches. Thanks :-)

I would like to post some poetry and have it critiqued, preferably by a larger online poetry community. Do you know of any really good poetry sites? And please, no poetry.com. That site is a scam anyway, they just want you to buy their books... Thanks
