I read "Go Ask Alice" quite awhile ago, and I really enjoyed it. I saw it in Borders the other day, and I was hoping there were other books like this one out there. Any advice or ideas?

Megan McCafferty's books- "Sloppy Firsts," "Second Helpings" and "Charmed Thirds" are similar in some ways. There are also other books about Alice by the same author, but I can't think of any names right now. I would suggest checking Amazon.com and seeing what comes up.

Amazon.com often has links to books you like, recommending other books. Such links may name specific books, and lead to lists customers made (called Listmania!) and to essays customers have written (called So You'd Like to...).

The Go Ask Alice page recommended these books:

It Happened to Nancy : By an Anonymous Teenager, A True Story from Her Diary
by Beatrice Sparks

Cut
by Patricia Mccormick

Speak
by Laurie Halse Anderson

Skin Game : A Memoir
by Caroline Kettlewell

...and many others!

Check it out!

Try these, some may not be in your bookstore, but you could try a local library. They are all targeted at Young Adult readers, as is Go Ask Alice.

"Crosses" by Shelley Stoehr

haha. everyone's saying these books "by the same author" but the author was anonymous. eh, i don't know if it's a true story but it was supposedly written by an author (i forgot her name) but check google. she's written a few other books and i assume they're similar to Go Ask Alice.
