This is a link to a picture I found that interested me. I get bored at work easily and these make time go by faster. Please let me know if there is a link I can go to where I can view more. Thanks.

The books I read are normally large - I commute and read - ALWAYS.

Also, for you military readers out there - what types of books do you read to "clear the strategic mind"? My mind clearing books are normally about actors.

I can understand that men would imagine and even "create" such a being - to kind of fill in the gaps of ignorance and fear, but realistically, no being could every make such a claim because there is the possibility that that being could be wrong.

Perhaps God should say, "I am the All in All - the beginning and the end..."

with the disclaimer: "As far as I know" or "within my observation of the dimensions I am abiding in..."

To say that the human mind is incapable of understanding God's confident reality only begs the question: "Why did God make men so far removed from the reality of God as to make the obviousness of God impossible, in the light of scientific observation?"

It is the supreme irony, if not the supreme joke, is it not?

I'm in a christmas show and there is a part where I have to be at a strip club and be really rowdy and into it, thing is (I know I should be in character!) I am very shy, and I am having trouble overcomming it. I just keep thinking, oh my god my parents will be watching this. I'm normally quite confident when it comes to performing, I just think this is too far for me. Even other performers have been saying rather you than me. I don't want to approach the director as appart from this scene I love my part. Any advice from people that have been in the same situation? Thanks for any help and Merry Christmas.

They have that saying "careful what you wish for, you might get it" for a reason. Sometimes people think they want something until they get it & it comes with a set of circumstances they hadn't bargained for. I heard of a woman that won the lottery & it ruined her life. Her family all disowned her because they didn't think she gave them enough. She ended up in debt because she spent all the money (it wasn't a massive win. Yeah it would be hard to spend 30 million but you could spend 1 million in no time if you weren't careful!)

So, have you considered the consequences if you did win your heart's desires?

Sometimes we may fear success as well as failure. Change can be scary. When your wishes come true, your whole life may change...

Decide what you want and focus on it.
Dream big!
& don't be afraid once it's in your hands.
Embrace change...

:)

What is it made of and how long should it last? If you could tell me the name of the part in German it would be a big help.

A) Deceased people who died and went into the light and are in Heaven and can't do everything they could do here and are forced an existance of nothing but peacefulness, grass, flowers and nothing else and they worship and serve God nonstop forever and ever whether they like it or not and have less freedom than what they had here because they have God "breathing down their necks" every second.

OR

B) Deceased people who died and refused to go into the light and are here on Earth haunting cemetaries, houses, building, and sometimes forests. They have ALL THE FREEDOM they could ever want. They can do whatever they want, experience whatever pleasures they want and don't have to worry about getting in trouble because they don't have
God "breathing down their necks" every second.

If both scenerios were to hold 100% true, then I'm happy for those "ghosts" and pity the ones in heaven.

Have you ever corrected, criticized, challenged, or accused someone in the name of "spirited debate" (the accusations could have been mistaken or unfair, but not deliberately so) and then seem them seem to go completely "off the deep end"? Did you feel some responsibility?

It may have been that a third-party (or parties) exacerbated the situation or that the person already had major "issues" to begin with. And perhaps you didn't do things maliciously. But would it still trouble you?

Sorry if this is unduly hypothetical, though I suspect on the 'Net, many people will relate to what I am vaguely describing. I don't want to go into specific, lest I be gossiping.

So, a general question for online debate: is there a responsibility to consider the mental health of those we engage (especially online)?

It was up this AM, Wenesday Dec 19,2007...then pulled. The only thing Google would find was North Carolina in November. What was so IMPORTANT about getting this OFF the internet? She was just saying how Bill Clinton got mad at a heckler as Hillary announced,"Who invited YOU to speak at this Global Warming topic?" Then the heckler was arrested, guy commentator disappointed heckler NOT tasered, blonde lady made comments about Bill Clinton also getting FIREY MAD and end was covered with gibberish so the blonde lady's comments had no ending. Then FOX pulled the entire video! Google even de-referenced it! What's going onhere?

See the rainfall...only hear.
Another tomb waits.

I would like your thoughts on my poem, please - I am not professional or anything, just a simplistic 14 year-old boy, so please don't be harshly critical. :P

Being of the indoctrinating hate.
Enchanted words may now seal your fate.
Send this evil back to hell.
Where the darkest shadows dwell.
Burn as thou feel infinite scorn and pain.
Your hallow'd blood is cast into the rain.
Being cursed to live, cursed to die.
Leave this world as fire can fly.
Destroy thou curs'ed abomination.
Be imprisoned in my declaration.

For a class next quarter I'm going to design an internet course that deals with the memoir as literature. I have not decided on what books I'll use, though some I'm considering are:

Angela's Ashes
The Kite Runner
Running with Scissors
A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius
Reading Lolita in Tehran

What do you think of those?

Also, have you read any memoirs that you think would be interesting to study in a college level course?
