I have often thought about this same question. This is what I have learned:
1) there is no dream or desire that the lack of wealth will keep you from achieving.
2) there is going to be good and bad things about every action you can imagine.
3) The Spirit needs to grow.
We should always pursue our good dreams. Our pursuit of good and beautiful things are the stuff of great bed time stories and teach our children how to succeed and grow.

Yes I did. There's the same situaion in the alchemist, a book by paulho coelho. There's this muslim who dreams of the day making the pelgrimage to mekka. He imagines how he would walk around the ka'abba and throw the stones at the devil. But,he says, when I come back i won't have anything to dream about anymore. That's why I will make the jourey when I'm old and when I come back, I'll live a peaceful life till the end of my days. That made me think. I want it very much and I'll be happy when I get it, but I will also miss the happiness get out of wanting it.
I have no true hearts desires. Or maybe I have them, but don't know them. When i find out what they are, I'll always have in mind that the quest is at least as beautiful as the destination.

I'd be much alarmed. What I want would be to go back to age 25, knowing what I know now, which would change the whole world as we are all interconnected! That's alarming because I'm content with what I have now, and death holds no fears for me, only the prospect of rest, allowing those I love to get on with their lives as an adventure of their own.

If you ask a child, the child will say what all she can buy and what all she can give to others to make them happy. The child won't talk about future plans because that is child's mind. If one stick to this mind even after maturity the result would be like what you have said about a woman. Tell less do more then you won't have any problem at all.

I would create my life's next adventure then enjoy the experience good, bad, or ugly. It's the journey that counts, it's the freedom to choose but you must take responsibly for creating the adventure. I love my freedom to create and always get what I want.

I always get what I want. I am a patient. And act in accordance to the means of getting those things, love admiration, wealth, health, happiness.
Reason works!
Mysticism destroys and keeps your values out of your hands.

I would kill myself. I don't believe in an afterlife so that is that. To possess what I really want is a supreme understanding, to possess a supreme understanding is to eliminate my motivation for being, therefor I would end myself.

If I got what I REALLY want...the consequences would all be pretty darned good...and not just for me! As it is, I'd welcome some changes...but know I won't get what I don't work for! Merry Christmas!

Probably start in amazement.
Few if any of us know what we really want.
How many of us would recognize it if it appeared?
