I would need more background on what it's a logo for to give an adequate critique.
But from the graphic alone, I would say no, unless your intent is for it to look like a traffic sign. It's clean and legible, but "tells" me nothing.

It depends on what the logo is for.
...I don't know what a fluxlist is, or why there's an "X" there.
The logo looks like something you'd put on a taxi. Or as a sign directing cars on the road. If that's not what you're going for... I suggest using a more interesting font. That goes with what your site deals with.
And make the "Fluxlist" word almost as big as the "Europe".
The spacing of Europe is good. But there seems to be more of a space between the ending E and border, than the space between the beginning E and border.
Make the space above and below the big middle "X", smaller. But, again, what is the X for?
Adding some color would be good, too.
I'd make the border a little bit thinner. Especially of the inner box of the X.
Speaking of the X... maybe you can add a white stripe to it.
Hopefully you'll find use of this answer?
Good start, anyway.

Depends on what it's for. This looks like something to start from. It's far from looking finished. The type looks like there was some vertical stretch. Stretching type, when it wasn't intended to be, looks cheap. Yes, choose a type that's more interesting. It looks plain. Try something like Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk. It has great line weight, counter proportion and shape.
Maybe take the radial corners down on the borders a bit to better accommodate the words 'fluxlist' and 'europe.'
I'm feeling like the borders should be fattened up a bit. As mentioned before, do make the type size for both words the same unless emphasis to one is absolutely necessary.
The 'x' looks like it should fill the space a little bit better.
Are the two lines absolutely necessary? Take them out and see what it looks like.
This could be great in terms of iconography. Look at some European logos and road signs. They've always seemed interesting. Observe spacing and colour and you'll be well on your way to a great looking logo. Keep working on it.

for me, it is a relatively boring logo with not a very appealing color or design scheme. It does not really convey what you are trying to sell or promote, which is the whole point of a good logo. Try again!
