Does anyone know where I can find the short story Greasy lake by TC Boyle on the web? I need to read and print out the short story, then write about it. I'm in 10th grade taking English hp and this is an extra credit assignment worth 50 points! I thought my teacher was kidding. I bet when I come to school on monday everyone is going to have it and he might not make it worth 50 points he probably just wanted us to do it. still you never know. so can anyone help me pleas?

I've been writing for a few years now and I'd like to get something published, but I always get beaten by the same problem. I get one piece going, and then a ways into it I get ideas for another and start working on a new story, and so on. At the moment I've got anywhere from 4-6 pieces of writing going at the same time. I'd like to know if there is a way to fix this so I can actually get something finished. I've tried just taking notes, but those notes tend to quickly turn into a story with me. Should I just ignore the ideas?

wat is up with that??

and how come im learning so much in school about white people and chinese people and maybe even native people but you never hear anything about kingdoms in africa outside of egypt and kush? did black people not have kingdoms? it seems like evry other group or race has a kingdom or a legacy to live up to but i never hear nothing about black african kingdoms. i asked my teacher about it and he just said their was nothing in africa at the time. like it was just a bunch of people chasing eachother around with sticks and not contributing to history in any way. how come i gotta take a special class just to find out about what happened south of the sahara but any regular class will tell me all about ancient china and mid-evil times? i know slavery erased most of our history but can i at least have a clue??? some of us still care you know!!!

Okay, I recently submitted my picture, resume, and cover letter to some talent agencies and casting directors. How many days or weeks should I wait too hear back, if they are interested? Also, should I call too verify that they recieved my package? Thanks very much~

And what are its good points compared to the other programs? And, if you're not using software, how do you keep it all organized?

If you're a veteran from the old days, what's missing in computer software that you'd like to see?

Best sound-off, genealogical smack, or ranting rave wins 10 points.

PS: I have yet to meet an experienced genealogist who has less opinions than the number of people on their family tree...go ahead and rant...

Is it your faith, sometimes so unrelenting and seemingly teasing with its brightness, barely out of reach..., or the shadows you create by the light it casts upon your unwavering stone-like gaze..

A dance of balance. As your shadows follow, so does the light...moving, each anticipating the other. Reflecting.

where the author wrote his own biography and told every detail of how his mind works and his deepest sin and secrets, the kind that if one person has, they supress it into a childhood nightmare, kind of sin...if not, if one eventually made such a topic would you enjoy it. just imagine the secrets a high degree of perversion and anything repulsive
